New Masjid

New Masjid

The Auburn Islamic Center (AIC) serves the Auburn-Opelika community and the surrounding communities in Lee County, Alabama and beyond. The current Masjid is housed in a two-story residence purchased in 1990. The mosque is at its capacity during Friday prayer services. We also have an Islamic School on Sundays with over 80 students. AIC has purchased a 5-acre land and is suitably zoned to build a mosque.

The Architectural Firm has finished Detail Architectural and Engineering Design and submitted to City.

The projected cost for the Phase I of the new mosque is over $2.5 million. We have around $580,000 in the New Masjid Fund after paying Architect fees and other design services parties. Please donate generously so we can start construction in 2026 inshallah.
